Each highlighting the complexities of relationships and pushing the boundaries of, “What if….?” He looks forward to sharing his writing with the world—one story at a time. When he is not writing, Shan enjoys watching zombie movies and traveling with his wife, and three children.

The Making of an Author

Early Life

Shan grew up in Enfield, North Carolina — a small town where you learned pretty quickly how to make your own fun. Imagination was his closest friend, whether inventing games with the neighborhood kids, acting out full-length adventures with his action figures, or disappearing for hours on long bike rides down country roads. Enfield was quiet…but his imagination never was.

Writing Journey & Inspiration

Reading gradually became part of Shan’s daily life, introducing him to new perspectives, places, and characters that stuck with him. Over time, he started to appreciate how much stories could do beyond entertainment and how they could connect people and leave a lasting impression. That’s what pushed him to start writing his own, with the goal of creating stories that stay with readers even after the last page.

Present

Today, Shan lives in Durham, North Carolina, with his wonderful wife and three children. He is immersed in the process of writing novels, working on his books whenever inspiration strikes. With a deep love for storytelling and a growing body of work, he looks forward to sharing his writing with the world—one story at a time.
